Journal History

In 2003, Dr. Ir. Slamet Riyadi Bisri, MBA. as the Director of the Master of Management Study Program at the Indonesian Cooperative Management Institute (MM-Ikopin) together with the Head of the MM-Ikopin Secretariat Drs. Suryana Yusuf at that time pioneered publishing a journal with the name of the Journal, namely COOPETITION. Coopetition is a combination of concepts between competition and cooperation. In other words, it is also a form of the business alliance built on the cooperation of several competing corporations.

Coopetition as a journal from 2003 to 2010 was routinely published in print once a year, which is every May to coincide with the anniversary of the Indonesian Cooperative Management Institute (Dies Natalis Ikopin).

In line with the development of COOPETITION journal publications which are increasingly in demand by writers, especially lecturers in Ikopin and several lecturers from other universities, the Director of the Ikopin Management Masters Study Program at that time, Dr. H. Sugiyanto, M.Sc. filed for a status upgrade to obtain the printed version of the ISSN, on February 12, 2010 (starting the edition on February 12, 2010) based on Decree no. 0005.035/JI.3.2/SK.ISSN/2010.02 is issued by ISSN Print Media with numbers 2086-4620.

Since 2010 Coopetition has been regularly and consistently published twice a year, in March and November.

In 2014, LIPI and DIKTI established a guideline for the accreditation of scientific periodicals that put more emphasis on evaluating the publication of scientific journals electronically. The regulation was enforced as of April 2016. This means that since a new regulation was signed in August and September 2014, journal managers must begin to make a transition from printed journal management and publishing system to an electronic journal (e-journal). In connection with this, on February 19, 2018, the Director of the Master of Management Study Program at that time, Dr. Trida Gunadi, M.Sc.  submitted an online version of ISSN and was approved by the issuance of SK no. 0005.26154978/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2018.02 - 28 February 2018 with ISSN Number: 2615-4978 (online media), Coopetition : Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen

Coopetition : Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen  (E-ISSN : 2615-4978, P-ISSN : 2086-4620) will be published online and in print. Published every March and November and starting from 2020 the Journal is published 3 times a year, namely March, July, and November. This journal publishes the results of research related to the concepts, theories, paradigms, and methodologies of management science. 

The scope of the journal includes 1) Cooperative Management 2) Human Resources Management 3) Financial Management 4) Banking Management 5) Marketing Management 6) Sharia Management 7) Public Economic Management 8) Education Management 9) Entrepreneurship.

Furthermore, in 2019 Coopetition: Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen through the Decree of the Director-General of Strengthening Research and Development of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Number 36/E/KPT/2019, dated December 13, 2019, has been accredited by Sinta 4.

On October 3, 2022, Coopetition: Scientific Management Journal obtained the Decree of the Director-General of Strengthening Research and Development of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Number No 204/E/KPT/2022, dated October 3, 2019, has been accredited by Sinta 4.

Starting in 2023, the Coopetitition: Scientific Journal of Management article template will be amended according to the assessor's suggestions and the results of the training on managing the journals that are attended.
