Cooperative counseling is a non-formal educational activity which aims to increase public understanding of cooperatives as a cornerstone of the Indonesian economy. In this context, students act as instructors and facilitators who can help educate the public about the values and principles of cooperatives. Through problem solving and learning by doing approaches, students are expected to be able to encourage changes in people's behavior in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects, so that they are able to actively participate in cooperatives. The objectives of this outreach include increasing public awareness of the importance of cooperatives, developing managerial abilities, as well as improving the quality of services and benefits of cooperatives. Students are expected to be initiators of new ideas, motivators who encourage active participation, and liaisons between cooperative members and existing resources. Thus, it is hoped that the synergy between students and the community in cooperative education can strengthen the cooperative structure and improve the welfare of members. Cooperative counseling also emphasizes the importance of education and training for prospective cooperative members to improve cooperative skills. Through ongoing guidance and assistance, students can help build independence and awareness of the role of cooperatives in community economic development. Thus, student contributions in cooperative outreach do not only focus on knowledge transfer, but also on empowering the community to achieve sustainable prosperity.
